Hello and welcome to Word Kitchen! I am Maya.
And I am Lena. Today we learn words about our body. Our body is with us every day!
That is right! And moving our body is good for our health. A healthy body is a happy body.
So true. Let us start at the top. Your head is the top part of your body.
Yes, your head. And on your head, you have hair. Hair grows on your head.
That is right. My hair is long and brown. I wash my hair every morning.
My hair is short and black. Touch your hair with your hand. Nice!
Now, on your face you have two eyes. Your eye is the part you see with.
Close your eyes, Lena. Can you see me with your eyes closed?
No, I cannot see! When I close my eyes, I cannot see. Open your eyes now!
Open your eyes. Good! Now, between your eyes, what do you have? Your nose!
Yes! Your nose is the part you smell with. Smell this flower with your nose.
Mmm, it smells nice! And under your nose, you have your mouth.
Your mouth is the part you eat with. You also speak with your mouth.
That is right. Say hello with your mouth, Lena!
Hello! Now let us move down to your arm. Your arm is the long part from your shoulder to your hand.
Raise your arm! One arm, two arms. My arm is strong.
And at the end of your arm, you have your hand. You write with your hand.
Wave your hand! Your hand has five fingers. Clap your hand!
Now your leg. Your leg is the long part from your hip to your foot.
You have two legs. Stand on one leg. Very good!
And at the end of your leg, you have your foot. You walk with your foot.
Lift your foot! You have two feet. Your foot helps you stand.
Now turn around. Behind you is your back. Your back is the part behind your body.
Sit up straight, and your back will be happy. A strong back is good for your health.
Time to review! Point to your head.
Touch your hair, your eye, your nose, and your mouth.
Raise your arm and wave your hand!
Stand on one leg and lift your foot!
And touch your back. Great job!
Let us do it one more time, fast! Head, hair, eye, nose, mouth!
Arm, hand, leg, foot, back! You are wonderful!
Wonderful! Let us count again. One head, two hands, two feet!
Two eyes, one nose, one mouth!
Two arms, two legs, one back!
Good! When your head hurts, rest. When your back hurts, sit up straight.
Yes! And wash your hands before you eat with your mouth. That is good for your health.
And brush your hair, and wash your foot and your leg after sport. A clean body is a healthy body.
Look at me. My eye is brown. What color is your eye, Lena?
My eye is blue. And my nose is small, but my mouth is big!
Ha! Your arm is strong. Can you lift your hand high?
Yes! And my leg is strong too. I can lift my foot high!
Wonderful! Now touch your back with your hand.
Remember, take care of your body every day. Drink water, move your body, and stay healthy.
That is our show for today. Join us tomorrow for more words. Bye!

We use **have / has + past participle** to talk about our body and our life. We do not say when it happened. We also use **have / has + past participle** for a new action with a result now. Your hand is clean because you washed it. Use **just** for a very short time ago, **already** when it is done, and **yet** in questions and negative sentences. Use the past simple when we say **when** it happened. Words like **yesterday** and **last week** need the past simple. Never use **have / has** with **yesterday** or **last week**. That is wrong.
