Use the present simple for things that are always true or happen regularly, like 'I live in Toronto' or 'She works in a bank.' For he, she, and it, remember the -s: 'He works.' Use the present continuous (am / is / are + verb-ing) for actions happening right now or around now: 'Look! It is raining.' We also use it for future arrangements: 'I am meeting Tom at 8.00.'
