📝Grammar: Second Conditional: If + Past, Would
We use the second conditional for dreams and wishes. It is not real now. **If I were a nurse, I would help many sick people.** This is a dream, not real. We use **if** + past simple in the first part. **Were** and **had** are past verbs. We use **would** + verb in the second part. **Would go** is not real now, it is a wish.
