We use **used to** for things we did a lot in the past. We do not do them now. The form is simple: I **used to** + verb. For example: I **used to** play football. For the negative, we say **didn't use to**. Careful: no 'd' in 'use' after 'didn't'. For questions, we say **Did you use to** + verb? For example: **Did you use to** read books?
